SEDRO-WOOLLEY — Sedro-Woolley residents who have curbside recycling may soon see an increase on their solid waste bills as the city adheres to stricter recycling rules and pays higher prices to have the materials taken away.

In August, the City Council will consider passing on to residents as early as September the higher costs to recycle. Early estimates suggest the cost of recycling may increase $1.33 per month for households with a 68-gallon garbage can and comingled recycling.
