Frank Lampard’s time as Derby County boss will mostly be remembered fondly by Rams supporters.
Lampard, who was in his first role in senior football management, guided Derby to the Championship play-off final but missed out on promotion after losing 2-1 to Aston Villa at Wembley Stadium.
Soon after the play-off final loss, Lampard left Derby to replace Maurizio Sarri as the manager of his former club Chelsea, with Phillip Cocu taking over the helm at Pride Park.
During his time as Rams boss, Lampard let eight players leave the club on permanent deals. Here is how they have got on since their departures.
JAMIE HANSON

Hanson left Derby in August 2018 to sign a four-year deal with League One club Oxford United, joining the Us for an undisclosed fee.
In his debut season at the Kassam Stadium, Hanson made 41 appearances in all competitions and kept up his reputation of being versatile as he featured regularly at both right-back and defensive midfield.
The 29-year-old was released at the end of the 2021-22 season. Now plays for Long Eaton United.
MATEJ VYDRA

Vydra’s departure from Derby was the conclusion of the longest-running transfer saga of the summer of 2018.
With Leeds United expressing an interest in the Czech Republic international, Vydra eventually joined Premier League outfit Burnley for an undisclosed fee, with the forward signing a three-year contract at Turf Moor with the option of a further year extension.
Vydra struggled to establish himself as a regular goalscorer for the Lancashire outfit having scored 12 goals in 97 appearances. He now plays for Czech side Viktoria Plzen.
ANDREAS WEIMANN

Weimann left Derby in July 2018 to sign for Championship rivals Bristol City for an undisclosed fee, believed to be £2m plus add-ons. He put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the option of a further 12 months.
The Austrian international has enjoyed his time at Ashton Gate since his move away from Pride Park where he made more than 150 league appearances for the Robins.
Is now at Blackburn Rovers but has been linked with a return to Derby this summer.
CAMERON JEROME

Jerome left Derby in August 2018 to sign for Turkish outfit Goztepe, ending his eight-month stay at Pride Park. He signed for an undisclosed fee.
He spent two years abroad before returning home to sign for MK Dons in October 2020. A free transfer to Luton then followed in June 2021. He ended up signing for Bolton in January in 2023. Has now retired.

CHARLES VERNAM

Vernam left Derby in July 2017 to sign a permanent deal with League Two club Grimsby Town.
The Mariners signed Verman for an undisclosed fee, following a loan spell at Blundell Park, and put pen to paper on a two-year contract.
In his first season as a permanent member of the Grimsby squad, Vernam netted five goals in 41 appearances. He left for Burton Albion before his form led to a permanent switch to Bradford City in 2021. He joined Lincoln City on a free transfer last summer, but was released at the end last season. Is back at Grimsby.
OFFRANDE ZANZALA

Zanzala left Derby in August 2018 to sign for League One outfit Accrington Stanley for an undisclosed fee, penning a two-year contract.
The forward returned to the club he spent the second half of the 2017/18 campaign on loan, during which time he helped them secure promotion from League Two.
He left Stanley for Crewe in the summer of 2020 but was on the move again in January 2021 when he joined Carlisle United. Barrow then signed him for an undisclosed fee at the end of that season.
But he would not stay for long as he joined Exeter City on loan in January 2022. Newport County then moved for him in June 2022. Now plays for Torquay United.
CALLUM GUY

Guy left Derby to sign for Blackpool in August 2018, with the midfielder signing an initial loan deal which was made permanent the following January.
The 22-year-old agreed an 18-month contract at Bloomfield Road, with the option of a further 12 months on top of that.
Guy left the Seasiders for Carlisle United in January 2020, moving for an undisclosed fee. Injury ruled him out of the season, but he returned strong and in 2022 helped the Cumbrians win promotion to League One. Will be playing National League next season after they were relegated.
LUKE THOMAS

Thomas left Derby in June of this year, shortly before Lampard left the club to take over as Chelsea manager, to sign a permanent deal with Championship newcomers Barnsley.
The 20-year-old forward joined the Tykes for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £1.2m, and he put pen to paper on a four-year contract at Oakwell.
The youngster made an immediate impression after signing for Barnsley, scoring the winning goal on his debut in a 1-0 win over Fulham.
Now at Bristol Rovers where they were relegated this season.
