Look for plants for pollinators Image: Leigh Clapp
Look out for
My selection this year has a focus on ideas to take away
• How to divide the garden into zones, rooms and areas
• Using structure to separate, such as hedging and lattice
• Being more formal by the house and gradually merging to wilder
• Plants for pollinators, such as open faces, nectar-rich
• Forming plant communities that work well together
• Planting in drifts and repeated clumps
• How to use every inch to the best advantage
• Creating relaxing seating areas to take in views
• Repurposing items into containers and detailing
• Selecting the right plants for your garden’s micro climates and soil
• Budget ideas for plants, supports and focal points
• Growing some of your own food, in small plots and mixed in the garden
• Companion planting to confuse garden pests
