Washington, D.C., to Warren County: Thousands in NC prepare for Saturday's March for Our Lives
On Saturday, thousands are expected to take over the streets of Washington, D.C, demanding an end to gun violence and mass school shootings.
Posted — UpdatedMany North Carolina students and adults will be traveling north to the protest, which will start on Pennsylvania Avenue between 3rd St. and 12th St. NW at 12 p.m.
A group of students from Broughton, Enloe Magnet High School and other Wake County schools gathered this week to make signs to hold in Washington, D.C.
Among the messages: “Thoughts & Prayers Don’t Save Lives. Gun Reform Will” and “Never Again.”
Daryl Quick is sponsoring students from Durham to travel to Washington, D.C.
"These kids in Durham really need to have a voice in this and say what's going on and how they feel about it," he said.
